He knows. —The Swede Methodist church, cor ner of East avenue and Seventh streets has been veneered with brick and is now a very handsome little building. Work upon it is being rapidly pushed for ward and it will soon be ready for oc cupancy. ,—The next regular meeting of the Pomana Grange of this county will meet at 10 o'c'ock, a. m., on Friday, June 15th, at Burchardt's hall, Hay Creek. A very interesting meeting is expected and. members generally are urged to be present. —The wheat fields between here and Zumbrota look finely, notwithstanding the dry werther that has prevailed. The insufficient shower of Monday had a good effect upon them, and the wheat seemed to bave grown appreciably in a few hours after it fell. ,—As this is the season for wearing white dresses, our lady friends will do well to call at Simmons', 82 Main street, and look over his splendid assortment of Piques, Victoria and Bishop Lawns, Tarletons, Swiss Muslins, &c, of which he has an endless variety. —Price List cf Wall Paper. It is proposed to put up a $2,000 house facing East avenue. It is to be veneered with brick, and built in modem style. —On last Thursday (Ascension day) a class numbering some twenty four persons were received into the Episco pal church by confirmation. Bishop Whipple preached on the occasion a very acceptable sermon to the large congregation which was present. —Family Table Beer in pint and quart bottles, warranted to keep good in all weathers, for sale by Frederick & Hack, from Philip Best's popular brew ing establishment, Milwaukee.
