weakening ol sterling exchange. The
decline in sterling uxchange, of course,
puts an end to the talk about gold ex?
ports, and the sellers of yesterday were
tin- buyers of to-day. The demand,
however, was limited and when the in?
quiry froth the shorts abated prices ran
olY again. Tin- net result of the day's
trading was a loss of MffA per cent,
