Kill Burned. Kaugher'a Mill, on Bear
Creek, at the crossing of the Dayton and
Germantown pike, was recently destroyed by

Dead, Jesse Corwin, Esq., f of Hamiltoh
who held a clerkship at Washington, fell from
the 3d story of the Douglas Hospital in that
city on Sunday last, and was killed. He was
a nephew of the Hoo. Tom. Corwin. 1 I
Big" Meeting". The meeting at Beckel
Hall last night was full as large as the
League Meeting on Saturday night ; and if
was gotten np on about two hours' notice
It took the Leaguers a week to rope up their
crowd.

have probably concluded to remain within our

Conoert To-Hight The "Continental
Old Folks" will give their first of three con
certs at Huston Hall this evening. Our citi
sens are pretty well informed in regard to
their merits, having heard them once. The
"Folks" are much better organized now, and
good as they "used to was," they give better
ooncerts now. Bain or no rain, let them be
greeted with a full Hall to-night.
i Death of Col Patterson. We ragret
te announce that Col Jefferson Patterson,
Que of the Representatives from this county
in the Legislature, died in Columbus, yester
day afternoon, after a week's illness. Col. P.
was a son of CoL Robert Patterson, one of
original proprietors of Cincinnati. The re-
aains of CoL P. arrived here to-day, in
harge of a Legislative Committee. We are
Old that his funeral will transpire to-morrow.
