Mr. and Mrs. McDoNOUGH have got back to Duncan after a short outside tour. Mrs. C. S. Ramsay left on on the Law rence last Monday for a brief visit with friends in Chicago. O, S. Hayden made a flying trip to the village last Tuesday. He is now mer chandizing on Indian River. Miss Rosa Lyons closed her school at Wolyerine last week, and returned to Cheboygan for a vacation of a couple of weeks. Mrs. C. W. Farr, leaves on the City of Cleveland this afternoon for a visit of a week in Detroit. C, are on a visit to Wm. Vander bilt. Mrs. Gartrell and Mrs. Vauder bilt are sisters. J. A. Crookston, a former fellow townsman, now of the Arm of Shephard, Hazelton, & Co., wholesale druggists, Grand Rapids, is in the village. Mrs. C. J. Hunt returned home from her visit of several weeks in Chicago Thursday night on the Idaho. Her sister Mrs. Stark, of Toledo, Ohio, came with her. Dr. Hill, H. Burt, of Saginaw, spent the first of the week in Cheboygan. He was up purchasing lumber and see ing to the shipment of the same on his vessels, the steambarge J. P. Donaldson and barge Brighter. He left Wednesday night for home. Mrs. Blake exercises her taste in nurs ing a rare collection of plants. It is expect there will be a "hello" of a time in Cheboygan the latter part of next week. Dr. Hartley delivered the opening ser mon of the Cheboygan and Traverse City association. The township of Benton has purchased the interest of the township of Beau grand in Pine Hill cemetery. John Moody, charged with stealing $20 from Richard Whitey, will have his trial this afternoon before Justice Fife. Several magnificent sunsets this week.
