ULES REGULA1I0KS Governing Candidates for the Five Piano Prizes Offered by the Democrat And Taylor's Drug Store 1. The Five Prizes offered jointly by the Liberal Democrat and Taylor's Drug Store will be given to the five candidates who have received the greatest number of votes by 6 P. M., April 15th, 1912, at which time the Contest shall be declared officially closed and all votes polled thereafter void. 2. Ballot box will be opened every Wednesday afternoon at 4 P. M. and the votes therein counted and the ballot box re sealed by a committee of three selected for the purpose by the Contest Manager, his selection to be subject to public approval. The result of each week's count shall be published the following day in The Liberal Democrat and the Candidates name and her standing to appear. 3. Nomination Lists will close December 15th, at 6 P. M. After this date candidates will not be entered except by a special agree ment with the Contest Manager. 4. Any candidate living within a radius of 60 miles of Liberal will be accepted, providing she is nominated in regular form on one of the Coupon Ballots appearing in any of the issues of The Liberal Democrat. The Contest Manager reserves the right to reject the name of any undesirable candidate and to limit the number of entries. 5. Voting Coupons may be cast by anyone, providing that they are obtained from any of the fol lowing sources: Coupons appear ing in regular issues of the Lib eral Democrat or in letter, or card issues under the name of the Liberal Democrat or the Taylor Drug Store or coupons given out by the Liberal Democrat or Tay lor's Drug Store for trade at their store no matter what from. All others shall be declared void and thrown out by the judges. 6. No employee of either the Liberal Democrat or Taylor's Drug Store will . be permitted to enter the contest. 7. All votes must be deposited in the Ballot Box located at Taylor's Drug Store and in the presence of the Contest Manager or someone appointed by him. In casting a number of votes at the same time they must be neatly tied together or placed in' a small envelope. Votes may be cast personally or by mail. Also in several of the communities around Liberal we have no correspondent. We would be glad to have some one write the items for us in every community which is not repres tod now. Boydstun is having a well drilled on his place. Mr. Reed of Floris is doing the work. S. I- Rhodes butchered a beef Saturday morning. Jerry Hinds and family, A. E. Stephenssn and family and Or ville Hinds and family visited at W. J. Harlow's home last Sun day. S. I. Rhodes and family spent Svnday at the home pf W. T. Potters. Bennie and Elmer Ferrell spent Sunday with Felix Hunt. Mrs. A. M. Hunt visited with Mrs. D. B.; May last Sunday. W. J. Harlow left Monday for a two weeks visit with his parents in eastern Oklahoma, A. E. Stephenson and family called at B. B. Boydstun's Mon day evening. Mrs. W. J. Harlow called on Mrs. W. T. Mrs. Grimwood of the New Hope neighborhood has been ser iously ill, but is better at this writing. Her son and her daugh ter, Mrs.Dunlap, are beth here. E. L. Wilgus. and wife and W. E. Booher spent Sunday at Geo. Mc Broom's. Floris is rife with excitement over that "lucky number" just now and everyone is wondering who will get that elegant silver service. Mrs. J. S. Still went to Liberal Monday. Mr. Hubbard is sowing wheat on Jim Teasley's place. Everyone is busy harvesting fall crops. Evangelist G. L. Adams will be in ihis neighborhood in about three weeks. It will be no trouble to get those out to church who have already heard Bro. Adams, as his fine sermons are appreciated. Let everyone make an effort to be at Sunday School at Floris hall Sunday. Come prepared to stay for the Endeavor meeting. Emmet Wilgus and Jim Allen have returned from their trip to Colorado, where each of them tiled on a half section of land. Geo Bailey came in from Meade Saturday evening for a short visit with home folks. George Beamer and C. L. Day entertained a few of their friends ast Friday evening at the home of the latter. Little Mabel Frye was oh the sick list last week but is better at present writing. There will not be any Sunday school at Ethelton school house next Sunday on account of the township Sunday school conven tion at Obern, We failed to mention in last week's items that ,V. J.
