For a spedal election In Wichita city, Sedg
wick county, Kansas, in the matter of the
Wichita, Cedarrale & Southeastern .Ball-way
Co.
To the Qualified Voters of Wichita City:
Whereas, On the lSifc dayof September.lSSG.
there was duly presented to the Mayor and
Conncilmen of Wichita, Kansas, (said major
and council being duly convened in regular
session regularly called), a petition duly eign
ed by two-filths of the resident tax payers of
Wichita city, praying saidruayor and council
to submit to the eiuallfied voters of said city a
proposition to tubscribe thirty thousand dol
lars to the capital stock of the Wichita, Cedar
vale & Southeastern Railway Co., all on con
ditions as set forth in eald petition, which
petition tignaturea being omitted, is in words
and figures following, tc-wit:

We, tho undersigned, being more than two
filths (2-5) of the resident tax payers of the
incorporated city of Wichita, in eaid county
and state, hereby petition the mayor and coun
cil of said city above-earned to submit, at a
special election, to the qualified voters of eald
city above named a ! ropositionto subscribe to
the capital stock of the Wiebita, Cedarvale &
Southeastern Hallway Company, a railroad
company drily organized and existing under
the laws or the state ol Kansa3, which proposes
to construct a railroad into the city above
named.
Said subscription tobe for thirty thousand dol
lars ($30,lX.O oo) , And in payment for tald sub
scription to the capital stock of said companv,
bonds of. said citv, with coupons attached,
fhall be eiulyiEsi.cdaacl delivered in sums of
five hundred dollars ($500) esch, aggregating
the amount of thirty thousand doll Irs ($33,
000 CO) , payable in twenty (20) j ears fiom date
of issue, each bearing six per cent, interest,
payable semi-annually; both principal and in
terest payable at the Uecil agency of the stato
of Kansas in the city of Xcw York; such bonds
to be duly issued and delivered upon compll

Daily Beacon and Wichita Daily Kagle, print
