Thelcgixlatuie has passed an act detaching
! Thomas county from Sheridan nJ attaching
! Sherman to lliomas for judicial purposes, and
t'ies Thomas eount two terms of court,
' hich will be erj much needed, in the near
future. We may feel complimented hy these
f actions, which passed both houses unanimous
ly. Thomas county is to Sherman as Sheridan
was to Thnmas and Sherman kibt J ear, but by
the generous people of Colb , 1 think there
will be more friendship between Ihomas aid
Sherman than there was last jlar between
Sheridan and Thoiras counties.
I hope that this appro es to all the settlers
of Thomas as it does to mjself.
I remain, Yours Truly.

The Thomas County Cat under date

neighbor, they have passed just the
same, and it is a God send to Sheridan
county that it is done, as the kingdom

source of expense since the day she

Comment is unnecessary on the
above, but if Thomas county has been
such an enormous weight on Sheridan
county, Stevens' 850 was expended in
a foolish manner or he did not have
tie best interests of Sheridan county
uppermost in his empty cranium.
When he paid that amount for the
circulation of a remonstrance against
organization of Thomas. He should
have been impeached.
