That the burglars operating in
Prescott are still in business, and
havo neither the fear of the law or
the officers iu their minds, was dem
onstrated again last night. The
scone of their operations on this
occasion was tho residence recently
occupied by Dr. Pentlaud and wife.
The family vacated the building on
Saturday, taking out all their fur
niture, except a bed up stairs and
one down stairs.
The former was occupied last
night by Walter Pentland and tho
down stairs by Wilwot. About 2
o'clock this morning Wilmot was
awakened by a noise on listening for
a few minutes discovered that tho
noise was occasioned by somo one
boring a hole in tho kitchen door.
He asked the borer what was want
ed and at the same time called to
his brother up stairs when tho bur
glars hastily departed. Au exami
nation of tho door revealed the fact
that six holes had been bored into it
and work was progressing on the
seventh hole. Had they succeeded
in geClTbg' Thside" they would have
found very slim picking for burglars.
Deafneif Cannot bo Cured
By local applications, as they cannot

by an inflamed condition of the mu

When this tube gets inflamed, vou
have a rumbling sound or imperfect
bearing, and when it is entirely
closed, deafness is the result, and
unless the inflammation can betaken
out aud this tube restored to its
normal condition, hearing will be
destroyed forever; nine cases out of
tea are caused by catarrh, which is
nothing but an inflamed condition
of the mucous surfaces.
