county. Those who have read tho pa
pers lately are familiar with tho report of
the mysterious disappearance of Dr
York, of Independence, as well at a num
ber of other parlies. Tho wholo county
as well as all portions of the statu, has

The other day the untiring energy of
those who huvu never ceased work in
hopes of ferreting out the matter, was re
warded with developments which need
only to be nown to cause one's blood
to curdle in their veins. I have learned the

pany witU Mr. John M, Creswell, spocial
agent of thu post-otlice department, was
at the scene of the horror.
