Mrai that Wonaeai Mke neat.
Wc know that men naturally elirlnk
from the attempt to obtain companions
who were their superiors ; hut tliey will
find that really intellii''iit women who
posesse the most desirable qualities, are
uniformly inorieot, and hold their charms
In modest estimation. Wl at such wo
men most admire is gallantry ; not the
gallantry of courts and fops, but bold
ness, courage, devotion and refined civil
ity, a man's bearing wins ten Mtptrior
women where his dress and fanniy will
If a man etands before a women with
respect lor himself and fearless of tier,
hU suit is half won. The rest may be
left to tlio parties moi-t interested. There
fore never be afraid of women. Women
are tbe iiiokI harmless and agreeable
creatures In the world to a man who
knows that he has got a man's soul In
him. If you have not tbe spirit to come
up to the teftlike this, you have not that
in you which mofct pleases a high-'ouled
woman, and you will be obliged to con
tent yourself with the simple girl, whri
in a quiet way, is endeavoring to attract
and fa-ten you. liut don't be in a hur
ry about the matter. It isn't creditable
to you. Especially don't Imagine that
any disappointment in love which takes
place before you are twenty-one years
old will be of any material consequence
'I he truth Is that before a man is twenty-five
he does not know v. hut he wants
himself. So don't be in a Lurry. The
more ot a man you may become capable
of exhibiting in your associations with
women, the better wife you will be uble
to obtain, and one year's possession of
the heart and hand'of a really noble speci
men of her sex is worthy V.f.t ye ar's pos
session of a sweet creature with two ideas
in her head, and nothing new to say
aIout either ol them. So don't be in a
hurry, we say again. You don't want a
wife now, and you have no idea of the
kind of a wife vou will want by-and-by.
Go into female society if you can find
that which will improve yon, but not

Hepatitis or Liver Complaint,
liYSltl'SlA AND SICK HEAliACHE.
Symptoms of a Diseased Liver.
IjAIN in the-right side, under the
edge of the ribs, increases on pres
sure ; sometimes the pain is in the left
side; the patient is rarely able to lie
on the left side ; sometimes the pain
is felt under the shoulder-blade, and
it frequently extends to the top of
the shoulder, and is sometimes mis
taken for a rheumatism in the arm.
'Hie stomach is after ted with loss of
appetite and sickness ; the bowels in
general are ostive, sometimes alter
native with lax ; the head is troubled
with pain, ar f omj anicd with a dull,
heavy sensation in the back part.
There is generally a considerable loss
of mcmory,accompanit'd with a pain
ful sensation of having left undone
something which ought to have been
done. A slight, dry tough is some
times an attendant, s The patient
complains of weariness and debility ;
he is easily startled, his feet are cold
or burning, and he complains of a
prickly sensation of the bkin ; his
spirits are low; and although he is
satisfied that exercise would be bene
ficial to him, yet he can scarcely
summon up fortitude enough to try
it. In fact, he distrusts every rem
edy. Several of the above symp
toms attend the disease, but cases
have occurred where few of them ex
isted, yet examination of the body,
after death, lias shown the liver to
have been extensively deranged.

Dr. C. MVLam.'s Liver Pills,
