ming or throbbing of the ears ; an
unusual secretion of saJiva; slimy or
furred tongue ; breath very foul, par
ticularly in the mortfrig; apjittite
variable, sometimes voracious, with a
gnawing sensation of the stomach, at
others, entirely gone ; fleeting pains
in the stomach ; occasional nausea
and vomit ing ; violent tains through
out the abdomen; bowels irregular,
at times costive ; stools slimy; not
unfrcquently tinged with blood;
belly swollen and hard ; urine tur
bid ; respiration occasionally diffi
cult, and accompanied by hiccough ;
cough sometimesdry and convulsive;
uneasy and disturbed sleep, with
grinding of the teeth ; temper varia
ble, but generally irritable, &c.
