The Fur Hunter's Enemy.
It must not be iioaglned that the fur bun

animal ii ratber larger than a fox, with a

mounted on exceedingly abort leg of great
strength. Ills broad leet are armed with
powerlul claws, and bis track in the snow
is a large as a man's flat. The shape of his
head and his hairy coat give him much
tbe appearance of a shaggy brown dog
During tbe winter he obtains a livelihood
by availing himself of tbe tabors of the
trapper; and such serious injury doe he
inflict that he has received tbe name Irom
the Indians of kekwahurkesi, or f'Ttie
Evil One.' With antiring perse yerance
he Jhunts ,dy and nlgbt for tbe trail of
man, and when it Is found follows it uner
ringly. Arriving at one of tbe wooden
traps, or dead fal.s, hi avoids the door, but
speedily tears open an entrance in the
back, and seizes tbe bait or animal with
impunity. In this Planner he demolishes
the wbole series of traps, and when once
a wolverine has entablished himself in a
trapping walk, tbe hunter's only chance
of success is to change ground, and build
alresli lot of traps, trutting to secure a lew
furs before ;hi new path Is found out by
his Industrious little enemy.

RocKroBT, Mass., April 2, 1ST.',
Mr. Editor-Having read in your paper the
reports of tbe remarkable cures of catarrh, I am
induced so tell what 1 know about catarrh, and
1 fancy the "snuff" and Mniullna- lobe" mak-
it mere dollar grabbers would be glad if they
could emblazon a aUiiQarcure in the papers.
For 2G year I snftered with catarrh. The nasal
passagea became completely closed. Snuff,
dust, ashes, inhaling tube and "sticks," would
not work, though at Intervals I would sniff np
the so-called catarrh snuff, untiLI became a valu
able tester for such medicines. I gradually grew
w tree and ao one enn know how much 1 sufTei
ed or whata I'iaerab e being I was. My head
ached over my eye so tbat 1 was confined to
my bed ior many successive days, suffering the
mo-,t intense pais, which at oie time lasted for
ltis hours.- All! sense of taste and smell gone,
sight and hearing gone, nesvou. system sbstter
ed and constitution bioken, and 1 was hawking
and spilling seven-eights ol tbe time, 1 prayed
for d alb to relieve me of y sufferings. A fa
vorable notice in your paper of Dr. Sage' Ca

applie tha remedy by hydrostatic pressure, the
ouiy way compatible witu common sense. Well,
Mr Editor, it did not cure at in tnree-fourths
of a second, nor in one hour or month, but in
less thin eight minute I was relieved, and In
three months entirely sored, ond have remained
so for oyer it mouths. While using the Catarrh
Kemedy I used Dr. Pierce's Golden' Medical
Discovery to purify my blood aad strengthen my
stomach. A also kept my liver active and
bowels regular by the ns of his Pleasant Purga
tive Pellet. If my experience will induce other
sufferers to seek the same means of relief, this
letter wdl have answered its purpose.
