NOTICE 10 CITY SUBSCRIBERS.
VTisMag to confine our business as near as
possible to the CASH SYSTEM, we have deter
mined hereafter to collect our subscriptions,
within the city, QTXABXERLY. To carry this
determination into effect, we have placed our
whole city list in the hands of Mr. JOHN JACK
02T, long connected with our Office as
Clerk, who will make the collections, and also
attend to the delivery of the Papers, and see
that subscribers are served punctually. We
hope this arrangement will be satisfactory to
all parties. Those who may desire to save th em
elves the necessity of leaking four payments
during the year, can, if they prefer it, pay in
advance for the whole vear.

The great passenger packet, li. JI. Jiunytm,

Her extrem" lightness will allow her to make
several trips yet, should the river-not fall
faster than it has fur a few days past. Her
large ami roomy berth, her spacious hall and
wide guards for promeuad rank 's her a most
d siralile institution for traveling in warm
weather. Rooms can be secured t-d.ty on
application at A. Hamilton's warehouse.
Th low water stenmer FAli, has arrived
from Paducah, looking much better than we

In answer to the numerous Utters addressed
in me on the subjoct of the Mustang Liui
ment, I would say that 1 have had no connec
tion with that article tor serrral year. It
wan invented by me, and while put up under
my eoulrol aud supervision, was universally
accepted by the public as the bunt liuiment in
the world. Iu It&i I hold out ruy luterett la
it to other parties, aod slueo that jua It has j
passed through the hands of several persons
most of whom have been so unscrupulous as
t) manufacture it of inferior and cheap arti
cles, and thus to entirely destroy its value as
a medical remedy, trusting for success in sell
ing it, to its former highly established reputa
tion. Its present proprietors have gone so
far as to substitute other articles in its com
position for those in the original prescription,
bo that the Mustang Liniment now vended
possesses no one of the distinguishing charac
teristics of the genuine article, as it was orig
inally invented and manufactured by me.
These parties, to enable themselves with more
facility to foist their worthless and injurious
article on the public, use my name as its spon
sor, calling it "BbaooV Mu.-tang Liniment,
a:id cautioning the public to beware of any
other Bragg's Liniment as an imposition
This is doue with a view of exciting a preju
dice against '-Biiaou's Akctic Liniment," an
article more recently invented by me, and
possessing all the virtues of the original Mus
tang, with some improvements the result of
'xperieiice and later discoveries and manu
factured by Bragg & Burrowcs, which firm si
composed of my Bon, Oliver T. Bragg aud
Michae l Burrowes. This article is superior iu
many respects to the Mustang when it was
put up pure and in good faith, and is immea
surably superior to the article now vended as
'ie Mustang Liniment. It is also the only
liuiment manufactured to which my name is
appended by my authority or consent. In
conclusion 1 cannot hold myself responsible
for any of the evil ret-ults of using the Mus
tang Liniment now vended, and especially
after this public disclaimer of any connection
with its proprietorship or manufacture.
