it is valuable, that there is a
market for it in the outside
world if we can only get the
meant of reaching the market.

county in the Stale as rich in
mineral depniit coal, iron,
fire and potters clay as Vin
ton, and we are certain there
is no place where in vertnifnte
can- be made in developing
minerals which will yield near
so large a profit, as right heie,
in and about McArlbur. It
Columbus capitalists will come
down here we will show them
something that will open their
eyes. , '

what Gen.' Orosvenor's person
al character has to do with the

charged repeatedly from Gen.
Orosvenor's enemies that he
was a very, very bad man; but
we have never seen the charge
sustained by substantial speci
fications, and until we do we
must be excused lor believing
that his ability and earnestness
is the cause of much, if not all,
the looBe firing aimed at him,
the shot of the Times being a
specimen. It was unable to
reply to his facts and argu
ments, and therefore resorted
to personal abuse.

stored over the Baltimore &
.Ohio road. The war is al an
end, and peace declured. The
fight was commenced by the
Pennsylvania Central, but the
B. & O. was too strong to be
cruthed and came out victor!
