THE DEFENDANT ACQUITTED.

Zion graveyard to make a poit

Zion graveyard ia tiiuated
on a high bill near Wm. Crow'i,
in Clinton township, with beau

View . of . the adjtcent couri

in a ahametul-cooJition ol ai
lupidation ' and neglect.' It is
unenclosed, grown up with, un
derbrush, and heaped up with
rails which had formerly been
pens ' enclosing , graves. It
would be hard, to imagine a
more dilapidated place for
christian burial.
On opening the grave and
removing the corpse it was
lound that; l be blood from a
wound in the left , temple bad
soaked the pillow on which the
head reolined, and ran through
that, saturating the ground, and
had also run down the coffin to
the feet . ot the corpse. The
body was rapidly deeom
posing and showed a cut about
two inches long on the arm,
a d a wound made by some
blunt initrument in the left
temple, thfl latter beina ' about
an inch long, hhalf as - wide,
and yfrnelrating to the , skull.
The marks of violence upon
the body, and blood in the cof
fin and grave, made, upon its
face, a serious lookfng cuso for
the young nephew who was
there' under arrest, awaiting
the result pi the .examination.

Dr. D. V Rimiella being du

two uniinporant wouods upon
left arm; most serious injury a

portion of the temporal muscle,
penetrating to the kk ull. Upon
carelul examination lound no

skull. No evidence ol , injury
to the brain, except slight
amount ot' congestion in the
left hemisphere as compared
with the right.' Stomach al

An unusual amount ol conges
