retention of the urine. which was so wrysevereat
tinmess to disable him for his accustomed work and

sace would be required to relieve him. He was being
doctored a large part of the tlime. but could get no
permanent reli. At times his suif.rlngs were terrible
from sharp, cutting pains through the kidneys and
bladder; and he had sufcred so long and so severely
