shipped. About 600,000 feet of lumber
measures tho business at this station for
tho last six months, the larger portlon
havlng been poplar. Four baby logs of
the latter constltuted a car load recently,
They were 12 and 14 foet in length and
wore four and flve feet In diametor.

Mrs. Ashton Jones was hostess at a
card party Monday evenlng. a fancy dress
nffair, given at her residonco in Col?
lege Place. The ladles all wore fancy
dresses and several of the costumes were
unusually attractlvo. The rooms wero
decorated with Japanese Isnterns, red
shades, carnations and palms. The game
of hearts was played. Thore were three
tables. At tho flrst tablo, Mrs. John G.
Tilton and Mr. R. W. Sbultice won tho
flrst prizes, a bottle of perfume and a
book. At the second Miss Allce Molsely
and Mr. Beverly Burrow won a silver
