Forest School were held on Wednesday
and Thursday. The occasion was one
of notable brilliance, and was largely j
attended <by guests from many States J
and by neighbors of the school. Dr. '
8. C. Mitchell, president of tha Uni?
versity of South Carolina, was the
guest of honor. His address to the
graduating class on "The Ethics of
Democracy" was masterly and In?
spiring.
The epltomo of the South's problem,
said Dr. .Mitchell, lies In the work of
the preparatory schools, where the
men of the next generation should be
taught the basic principles of democ?
racy. Dr. Mitchell mado a plea for
