On Friday and Saturday Harrisonburg
had on a big double program?the an?
nual county school fair and the fifth
annual Rocklngham Horticultural So?
ciety exhibit. On Friday morning over

street parade, extending from the
courthouse to the State Normal School
yrr.und.s. a mile In length.
Among the fruit exhibits were _
number of delicious apples that sold
for 17 cents each in Chicago last
week, a fifty-two-pound pumpkin and
a splendhi exhibit of county apples.
The fruit growers made the patients
?t the new hospital a present of many
:.ne apples. The edibles left over rrom
the school fair were given to the Unlt
ed Helpers' Society.
T. N. Thompson was re-elected pres?
ident of the Ilockingham Horticultural
Society.
The Boys' Corn Club prizes were

child lost her nose through an acci?
dent. Three Weeks ago her floating
rib was removed and buried in the
forearm, where It was allowed to re?
main until flesh grew around lt.
The forearm was then bandaged
tightly to the child's face, where it will j
remain until the flesh and bone unite!
with the forehead. The final step will!
