As a conse quence the Commissioners' court room was packed when the meet ing was called to order by Judge W. T. Nixon. Judge Bradford was elected chairman, and, on taking his seat, asked some one to state the object of the meeting. I. R. Mason was called on to state its object, and said they had met to select two aldermen to rep resent them at the coming city election. The minute Mr, Magon sat down Arthur Wolcott made- a motion to adjourn and Dr. Bogie seconded it Judge Nixon arose nnd stated, that it looked like child's play to do such a thing, but was cut off by a gentleman in the audienco calling for a point of order, say ing that a motion to adjourn was not debatable' The motion was put and result ed in thirty-seven voting for ad journment nnd seven agaiust Before tho vote was put, however, J.
