1 CELEBRATION AND PACHOFA FEA Ardmore Is Prepared to Entertain and Feed 10,000 - PEOPLE -10,000 THURSDAY m FRIDAY, July 2 2 The occasion being the Seventeenth Anniversary of the Metropolis of Indian Territory. The celebration will be held at the City ParR, 1-2 mile Southeast of the Union Depot. Shady Groves abound to maKe Camping pleasant and there will be plenty of water on the ground for man and beast. Every possible effort will be put forth to give the people an entertainment that will surpass a circus. Come with your friends on the 28th and 29th. A Magnificent Pachofa ( the famous Indian dish) will be given out Free to Everybody. Lay your business aside for a couple of days and come and be the guests of Ardmore at its Greatest Celebration. SpeaKing There will be Public SpeaKing by the Finest Oratot s of Texas and the Two Territories. Among the speaKers will be the Blind Senator, T. P. Gore, whose eloquence is equal to that of any other man in the United States. Racing Here you will see an aggregation of the finest racers and trotters in the Southwest. High Bred, thoroughly trained horses will run for a purse of jJ250 00 BASE BALL Ardmore and Durant will play ball for the Championship of the Two Territories. A purse of $500.00 will be given to the Winning Team. Music ThejFirst Regiment Band of Ardmore, in full Military Uniform,. the most superb aggregation of musicians in the country, will furnish music during the two days and will give band con certsat nights. Indian Amusements Among the amusements will be an Indian Ball Game in which 100 full bloods, dressed in their Native Garbs, will taKe part. Indian Ball coupled with the far-famed Green Corn and War Dance presents a spectacular scene never witnessed in this section before. The time is short but the committee will spare no pains or expense in providing Every Amusement. Hotel accommodations are ample. Pachofa and water will be plentiful and free both days.
