SUOOESBETjrjIY CONSUMMATED
The Buperb and grand conseqra

Sfc Andrew its patron in memory
of their late Hawaiian Majesties
King Kamohameha IV and his con

out a hitch by Hia Lordship the
Bishop of Honolulu loyally and
magnificently assisted by the Clergy
and Laity togothor with feivour
sanctity and humiliation all to the
honour and glory of God
In the success attending the con
secration of St Andrews Cathedra
The Independent is most pleased
and happy to Btato that the littlb
congregationof oufmorniflg oontom
ponry assumed quite a large arrayt
against itsmisrepresentation asTin
truth tho seating capacity within
tho Cathedral was tested to it ut
most capacity many finding stand
ing room only wherein all wore
made welcome irrespective of any
colour faction standing or other
wise And furthermore The Inde
pendent is most radiant aud jubil
ant over the fact that tho day waBaJl
that could have been wished for it
the attendance exceeding beyond
all expectation and tho services
magnificent edifying and it is safe
to say were heartily oojoyed by all
exceeding all hopes and protestations
of the most skeptical casting away
all ought that nos been going pn

against it to tuewirras and the four
cornors of the earth
And finally Tug Independent is
all aglow with pleasuro that it has
co mo to a vory suocoBsful issue all
else to ths contrary notwithstand
ing and that anothor ohaptor in
Gharoh history in those Islands has
at last been successfully consum
mated and that all who may come
hereafter may not charge nor alter
the original tutlont and purpose nud I
that all have a right to worship
within its grand portals and bul
warks without let or hindrance but
in peace and goodwill to all who
may wiBh to enter thoreiu to wor
ship God fittingly and in a manner
moat befitting the Creator of tho
Universe
