JOHN PILLOW LANDED IN COUN
John Pillow, charged with the mur
der of IL J. Bugs, at Fulton, was
caught at Blythevllle, Ark., Saturday
and landed In the county Jail at this
place. It will be remembered that
R. J. Bugg was found In an alley, at
Fulton, one morning with his head
beat almost Into a pulp, from which
ho died a short time after.

Pillow will bo bound over to await
the action of the Grand Jury during
its session lu January, and unless ho
himself insists upon an immediate
trial will be tried in tho May term
of the Circuit Court. If tho accused
insists upon an early trial It Is llko
ly that bo will bo brought to face
his Jury during tho last two days of
the January term of Circuit Court.
Tho officers of tho law, as well as
their attorney, Mr. Smith, stato that
thoy will provo Pillow guilty of mur
der In tho first degree, which carries
with it either tho sentenco of death
or lite Imprisonment at hard labor.
According to tho prosecutors, Pil
low will go to the gallows. The ovl
