Ho has been n sufforor from heart
roublu for several montliB, being con
fined to his room utmost entirely dur
ing tho past two months. Dropsy de
veloped during his closing illness. Ho
was able to help himself In moving
about, until tho last two days. His
children were all present nt tlio time
of his death, Kills, hlH, eldest son, ar
riving but two days befoix the end
came.
Sir. Davis was born near Og
den, Utah, Kcbrunry 4, 1857. Ills
first vvlfo was Mrs. Harriet Drown
who was the mother or his three eld
est children, Ellis Davis, Mrs Vorland
Swcnson of Plensont Grove, nnd Illl
Jahrand Dnvio. She died about fifteen
yoars ago.
Nino years ago ho married Miss
Mary A. Davis, who boro him three
ehllilron, Kvlyn, Kdward and Mar
