j occupied in the Ogden Valley water case
in which some of the Brothers Ferrin ot
Eden are implied 1 M Ferrin one of
the defendants in the case testified The
gist of his evidence showed that the de
fendants claimed a prior right to the
water and that if they were in error
there was no willful or malicious design
in the acts of closing up plaintiffs
ditches and of taking the water A
United States patent for the homestead
was put in as evidence
While the Ferrin trial in the First
District Court was in progress yesterday
the loud voice of a female could he heard
as of a storm racing in the Granu Jury
