Funeral services over the remains of
Chas, II. Tlugoy wcro held in tho meet
ing house Saturday, July 21st, 100C. For
many years our meeting house bas not
been so crowded as it was upon that
occasion and fully one third as many as
wero In tho house, wero compelled to
reiiuln on the outside. In tho shade on
tho east side of tho house, through the
open windows they could hear there
marks of those who spoke words of com
fort to tho sorrowing family. Tho de
ceased bad host of friends In this and
surrounding towns who camo to pay
their last respects to tho departed. Flor
al designs nnd crepe were tastefully
arranged for tho occasion nnd tho casket
was literally covered with flowers offer
ings of children. Tho speakers were:

Kin. A cortege of twonty-two carriages
followed tho remains to tbo cemetery.
