Notice is hereby given that the State of Utah
has filed in this office lists of lands, selected by
the said State, under Section 6 of the Act of Con
gress, approved July 10, 1894, as Indemnity BchooJ
lands, viz: NW1-4 Sec. 22. T. 13 N.. R. 7 W..
Serial No. 04478.
Copies of said lists, ho far as the) relate to .aid
tracts by descriptive subdivisions, have been
conspicuously posted in this office for inspection
by nny person interested and by the public gener
ally. During the period of publication of this
notice, or any time thereafter, and before final
approval and certification, under departmental
regulations of April 25, 1907, protests or con
tests against the claim of the State to any of
the tracts or subdivisions hereinbefore described,
mi the grouml that the same is more valuable for
mineral than for agricultural purposes, will be re
i rived and noted for report to the General Land
Office at Washington, D. C. Failure so to protest
or contest, within the time speeifieil. will be consi
dered sufficient evidence of the non-mineral char- , r"
aeter of the traits and tin' selection thereof, be
ing otherwise free from objection, will be approv
al to the State.
