and Cold Storage. As the public bows, food factories are now scored j
on a sanitary basis. This plant has ken inspected and scored twice, thej
first time being 98 per cent perfect, and the last time 99 per cent. It is i
in this ptant that B. & G. Butter is manufactured hundreds of thousands j
jof pounds of it every year. Here it was that the Butter was made the
i fore part of this month which secured the first prize and gold medal at
j the State Fair in Salt Lake City This, though, is no new experience for
R & G, Butter, as it has received the first prize for many years, and,
'there is no question but this Butter is superior to any other made in the!
The building is constructed throughout of concrete, steel and brick
from floor to roof no wood enters into its construction. It is a class
"A" building, and one of the few completely fire-proof structures in
Cream is received daily from the three surrounding states, but most!
I of it comes from Utah, of course. It is handled in the most approved and
up-to-date manner that the very best of machinery and most efficient!
employees can handle it in.
This Plant is situated on Ogden Avenue, between 25th and 26th j
streets, and is open to the inspection of the public
I In addition to the making of prize butter, this Company makes cheese
at the Hooper factory, near the shores of the Great Salt Lake. They also
handle all kinds of seasonable produce, and do a large business in Bags, j
Twine, Box Timber, Supplies tor Creameries, Sheepmen, Beemen, Poul-
Itry raisers, etc. 1
One of their largest activities, however, is the handling of seeds.
They operate one of the most complete cleaning plants in the West, and
are also General Agents for Clipper Farming Mills, Simplex Cream Sep
arators and Reliable Incubators, which they ship in carload lots.
