CENTENNIAL FINDS ORE
Value of Discovery Made Near Opex
Line is Not Made
Clear
That the Centennial Eureka drift
ing on or near tho 1800foot level has
encountered the ore body which was
found by drills operated by tile Opex
company was a report persistently
circulated yesterday It was said that
nfter encountering the ore the Ceu
tcnnial Eureka people bulkheaded
their drift but why that was done was
not clear
One report had it that the ore was
encountered lOG fcot within the Cen
tennial Eureka line It was said that
a second drift driven 100 feet below
the first one failed to find ore tho in
ference being that the body does not
extend downward at least upon its
natural dip
There appears to ho little doubt
hat the Centennial Eureka has been
exploring its ground adjacent to thc
Opcx with the purpose of testing the
value of the Opex find As to the re I
sult the only guide the public has is I
the action of the Opox stock which j
yesterday suffered another slight re I
lapse
