held at BIngham on Tuesday and
Wednesday August 23 and 21 and
this will be followed by a llromena
tournament at Sandy on Thursday
August 25 The firemen and citizens
of Bingham are making extensive
preparations for the entertainment of
the delegates fromthe twentysix do
pnrluieuts of tho state
One of the most important matters
to be taken up by the convention is
the launching of 11 campaign for leg
islation to provide for sick and lia
bled firemen Such a bill was pass
ed by the house during the last log
Iblature but an adjournment was
taken before the senate passed upon
it It Is expected that there will be
a hard fight between Murray Mer
cer nnd Provo with reference to se
curing the convention for next year
