Miscellaneous.
The tug Vigilant spoke the ship Louis Walsh,
from Nanaimo for San Diego, on April 6, 20 miles
SW of the Farallon Islands. The captain reported
having been on beams end for 24 hours off the
northern coast, during which time time they lost
one boat, had skylight, after house and atter rail
washed away, and otherwise considerably damaged.
Disaster.
The schr Robert and Minnie went ashore 1%
miles south of Siuslaw River Friday. A tug went
to her assistance, but could not save her. She is
high and dry on a sandy beach. No lives lost.
