The San Francisco Sunday Call.
Wins the Watch
HERE'S a bouquet of pretty wage earn
ers and at the top is the picture that
the judges say must be awarded the
gold watch given today.
If Miss Inez Yarborough, stenographer for
the Jackson Motor company, at 468 Golden
Gate avenue, will come to The Call office to
morrow she will be handed the prize. The
watch awarded to her is an open face, 20 year
case, containing her choice of Waltham or
Elgin 15 jewel movement. The watch is on
an attractive gold brooch, in a plush case. '
Miss Yarborough is the second pretty girl
wage earner to win a watch. Each Sunday a
page of pictures is published and to the orig
inal of the picture the judges say is the pret
tiest the prize is given. It is a prize such as
any lady may wear with pride.
The judges who must make this weekly
ecision are declaring that their task is no
sinecure. Anybody can see this at a glance.
It isn't easy to say which is the most attract
ive of eight pretty pictures.
All the pretty wage earners whose photo
graphs are shown here become candidates for
the grand prize of the steamer trip to Hono
lulu, to be awarded early in December. '
There's a prize the very thought of which
makes the heart beat rapidly. Some plucky
and pretty San Francisco miss is going to
make the trip to the island capital as the
guest of The Call. All her expenses will be
paid and she will be given a trip such as she'll
remember with delight all her life.
The Call believes that the prettiest girls
of the city are to be found among those who
support themselves by their own efforts. This
contest is designed to prove this interesting
fact to the world. In fact, The Call contends
that the prettiest wage earning girls in all
the world are right here in the favored city
by the Golden gate. If you believe this is so,
help The Call prove it by sending a good
photograph of the prettiest girl wage earner
you know to
The Pretty Girl Editor, The Call,
