asM>ciated with John Brown in conducting the
"underground railway" for the liberating of
slaves in the days before the drfl war, died
here today, aged 80 years. For several years
following the war. Ambrose edited and pub
lished a weekly newspaper in Isane, Kan. Hp
was a wagon maker.
