The REcrmox. The Johnson Depart
mental Club held a special meeting at their ball,
last evening, for the purpoio of perfecting arrange
ments for tho procession to day. We understand
that tht olab has, at great expense, secured tht
celebrated Llnbardt Band, of Baltimore, consisting
of twenty pieces, and also a beautiful banner of
crtmion silk, bearing a very correct ana excellent
portrait of tbt Prtsldent of tbt United States, with
the namt and data of tht organisation inscribed
thereon A very large silk flag, for which tbt club
is Indebted to the kindness and courtesy of Brert
Msjor General D. II. Backer, will also add to the
beauty of the display. Tht club will bt marshaled
by Major T. Gales Forster, assisted by Mr. F. L.

Fatal Accident. Yesterday evening
about six o'clock a number of workmen employed
at the Government wood yard, near Kendall
Green, were In a wagon crossing tht railroad track
near tht curve, when tbt down train came In sight,
Tbt driver whipped tht horses and auooeeded In
getting across, but one of tht men became fright
ened and Jumped from the wagon and fell on tht
track. Tht train passed over him, killing htm In
