PAGE EIGHTEEN THE RICHMOND PALLADIUM AND SUN-TELEGRAM, RICHMOND, IND., SATURDAY, MAY m 1922. , ' ; ' 1 i 'ii - Markets GRAIN l'UICES ( Markets by E. F. "Leland & Company. 212 Union National Bank Building) CHICAGO, May 27. Wheat There w as liberal trading In May wheat to day but under the Influence of the heavy deliveries, the largest since the first day of the month, prices declined. There were one or two rallies on short covering but the market closed near the low of the day. September was the strongest of the deferred deliv eries and although it weakened with May the close on September was lc higher than the low. Weather for wheat continues favorable. Export demand quiet and Liverpool a little lower. Mills are taking some of the wheat delivered on Mav contracts. Cash about unchanged. The trade is I looking for large receipts Monday and Tuesday. Corn showed independent strength today with the close not far from the high of the day. Complaints are be ginning to come in of too much rain with the season far behind. Cash steady. No export sales reported. Oats Business in oats consisted largely of exchanging between May and July at a difference of about lc Trade is very narrow. Cash demand slow and market barely steady.
