Loud is appearing for the state
and B. E. McDonald is up for the
accused man.
Keen is charged with man
slaughter in the lirst degree and
will be bound over to the grand
jury. Quite a crowd is in attend
ance at the hearing. The two
main witnesses for the state are
Ivor' Iverson and wife. Mr
Henderson will' testify in his
'apaeity as coroner.
None of Boon's relatives are in
attendance at the trial but several
of his neighbors and friends are
here. The taking of testimony
will require until six o'clock-
at
least. The I versou's are on the
stand as the Pioneer, goes to
press and are telling of the fatal
tight.
It appears that the case is a
very unfortunate one. Both men
were beside themselves as the
result of execessive drinking.
Koen will probably not make ap
plication for bail and will remain
in jail until the grand jury meets.
