Dorwan passed through the city this morning enroute from her homestead near Northome to Minneapolis. Miss Dorwan is a trained nurse and spent several months in Bemidji last sum mer. She expects to re turn to this city in about a month to spend the summer here. Sapper Tonight. The ladies of St. Phillip's Catholic church will give a sup per at the old Ross building on Beltrami avenue this evening. The supper will begin at 6 o'clock. An Open Letter. From the Chapin, S. Stadsvold, proprietor of the Fosston Flour mills, pissed through the city yesterday enroute to Cass Lake where they will spend a few days fishing. Wm Cocklan left this morning for Akeley, Cocklan was recently arraigned in justice court on a charge of assault and given his choice of paying a fine of $50 and costs, serving 60 days in the county jail or leaving the city He chojfe the latter. A meeting of the Sons of Vet erans will be held tomorrow evening at which arrangements for Decoration Day exercises will be completed. Will Initiate Big Class. Nineteen new members of tbe Modern Brotherhood will be init iated at a meeting of the local lodge to be held at the Odd Fel lows hall this evening. Following the initiation, a supper will be served.
