Engelking, cashier of the First National Bank of Northome, was here yesterday on business, re turning home last night. M. H. Mr. John son's family arrived in Bemidji yes terday and at once went out to the farm to make their home. The dance given last evening by the members of the -junior class in honor of the graduates of the Be midji High school was a great suc cess, about fifty couples attending. The hall was prettily decorated for the occasion. Green and silver, the senior colors, and purple and gold, the junior colors were used. Dainty little programs were given, as souvenirs of the evening. Thornton will be an event in June. The affair will be given at the N. P. Stone home on North Broadway on Friday afternoon, June 17. Miss Spendley has chosen as her wedding day, Tuesday, June 18, and until that day she will be the honored guest at many social functions. It will be a quiet home wedding and only the immediate friends of the family will be present. A regular meeting of the-local lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows will be held in the Odd Fellows building, Beltrami avenue and Fourth street, at 8 o'clock Fri day evening. Election of officers will be among .the regular routine of business and it is Jhe desire of the officers of the lodge that all members be present. Notices have been sent out by the secretary to all members. Notice for Bids.
