Bert Kalliher returned yesterday noon from Grand u'orks and other points in North Dakota where he has spent the past few days looking over horses that he will use in his camp near Orth this winter. Three large deer were brought to Bemidji this morning from points along the north line. P. J. Wolf of Bemidji owned the largest of the trio. The other two belonged "to hunters near Pine River and Deer River. E. J. Letford and family of Bau dette, will arrive in Bemidji on the night train and will spend Sunday with the W. G. Schroeder family on the Alfalfa Dairy farm. From Be midji they will go to Little Falls on business. Miss Dot Hazen, who has been the guest of her mother and sisters for a few days, returned to Hibbing on Thursday. Miss Hazen has been of fered a position with the Frank Clark Music Publishing company of Chica go, but has not yet fully decided to accept the position or not. Dr. V. M. Taylor, a retired physic ian of Springfield, Illinois, and his daughter, Mrs. W. H. Gehret, a re tired nurse, are spending the winter in Bemidji, and may decide to re main here permanently, as they are very much pleased with the climate of northern Minnesota. The administrator and the guar dian, the trustee and the treasurer, will find the Northern National Bank a very acceptable place to de posit their fuuds. Such funds are ab solutely secure and are earning in terest constantly. Miss Margaret Lowham, who has spent the past few weeks in Crooks ton where she was called by the se rious illness of her mother, will re turn to Bemidji tomorrow and re sume her duties as instructor in the North School Since her mother's death, Miss Lowham has been ill and unable to return to her school work. The Bemidji Examiner and Min nesota Socialist has again been pub lished by a new editor, Robert AP. Roberts of International Falls. In this issue Mr. Roberts devotes con siderable space in response to the articles written by the Bemidji Seu tinel and the charges made by Peter W. Collins.
