MOORHEAD %ifc$ Baker's Music Store Doing Large Business More Stock Ordered Bagley, Nov 6.Miss Mable Wet zel, normal training instructor in the Bagley high school, left Sunday morning for St. Paul, where she will attend a meeting of the teachers of Minnesota Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kaiser spent the week-end visiting at the Gilmore home in Bemidji Mrs Gilmore is Mrs. Kaiser's sister Miss Anderson, who is teaching one of the associated schools near Bagley left Saturday for Kelliher, where she wrll visit at her home. Miss McCloud, instructor in the grade department, spent Saturday in Bemidji shopping. Clara Renne and Leo Pawek, who are attending the Bagley high school, spent the week-end at their home at Shevlin. Harold Hill, a former resident of Bagley, spent several hours in town Thursday, renewing acquaintences. Miss Jean Jones left for Duluth last Friday, where she will visit with ler sister, Mrs T. King. Harry art has accepted the posi tion of compositor for the Bagley Herald. Mian Mae Barragy, county super intendent of schools, and E. H. Reff, secretary of the local school board, attended the meeting of the teachers of the northwest at Crookston the latter part of last week. Nels Nelson, Sr., anckwife returned from Moorehead Saturday, where they~ have been visiting their daugh ter. County Agricultural Agent Earl Martin, left Monday for Jvioorehead, where he will attend the state po tato show. Mr. Martin toolC with him about sixteen exhibits of pota toes ^raised in Clearwater county. H. E. Vance, who recently pur chased the Ford garage from "Big Nels," has accepted the agency for the Maxwell car. This week six of the new Maxwells attived and are on display at their garage. The Family theatre has contracted for the picture, "The Birth of a Race." This picture is one of the best movies ever produced, being the successor to "The Birth of A Na- tion." The picture has its own or chestra. Bagley people are fortun ate to have a chance to see the pic ture whicl*'has just' finished a six weeks showing in Duluth. F. A. Noyes of Shevlin was a busi ness visitor in Bagley on Monday. TheyGeorge T. Baker-music store nas disposed of nearly all of the ori ginal-stock of pianos and has just received a shipment of twelve sec ond hand pianos. Last week a large supply of Columbia records and sheet music was received. The county commissioners were in session on Tuesday. Frank Tufts, U. S. fire marshall, spent several days in Bagley the lat ter part of last week. Fred Harrison, who has been in the employ of County Surveyor Kjal naug, at Bagley, for the past month, returned to his home at Gonvick last Friday.
