One was a petition to the board of county commissioners asking them to change the route of the proposed (By United Press) St. Paul, Jan. 15.Representa- tives of 27 states in the Mississippi valley will meet at Washington next week to urge congressional action on legislation looking toward develop ment of the Mississippi valley and ad jacent territory. Chief among the measures to be fostered is deepening and. developing of the main channel of the Missis sippi from St. Paul to the gulf to permit resumption of heavy river freight traffic. The citv clerk was directed to adver tise for bids for storm windows for rooms occupied by the Civic and Com merce association, approximating 14 in number. Carried. The city engineer was instructed to have city wells sealed on lines in ac cordance with/requirements of the State Board of Health.
