Child Killed by Lightning: Bolt,
Leesville, June 30.?Yseterday even
ing about 6 o'clock a bolt of lightning
r struck and killed Lizzie Gertrude, the
6 year-old child of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
Smith, of the lower Hollow Creek |
J community. She had been playing under
a cedar tree in the yard, when the
bolt struck the tree and killed the little
girl. She will be buried today at
St. Matthews Lutheran church by the
pastor, the Rev. A. R. Taylor.
