| and his deputy, Mr. Pope Buiford, went
| to the homo of Bill Mendenhall, eolori

John Henrv Coleman an escaped con
vict from the Spartanburg chain gang.
Coleman escaped last August. He was
serving an 18 months sentence for
cutting up his wife and had already
served six months. He was taken
back to Spartanburg by the authorities
