'At high 'noon yesterday the Rev.
J. A. Shealy, pastor of the Lutheran
Church of the Ascension, Shandon,
. was married to Miss Ruth Long of
f Lexington at the country home of the
r bride's parents, Mr. arid Mrs. J. J.
^ Long. About half a hundred guests
were present at the ceremony, which
was performed by the Rev. J. D.
Shealy, pastor of Mount Pleasant Lutheran
church, and the bride's cousin,
the Rev. Julian B. Hsrman^of
White Rock.

* of navy Canton crepe with the modish
long flowing draperies, was attended
by her sister, Miss Cora Long
and Miss Mabel Sease, both wearing
0 attractive blue taffeta gowns. The
groomsmen were J. W. Shealy of
Townville and Bryan Keisler of the
Lutheran seminary, Columbia.
Just before the ceremony Miss
Anna Belle Long:, sister of the bride,
sang a group of appropriate cor.trali
to songs, accompanied by Miss Mary
f Long, another sister, who also played
I the wedding march.
H The parlor was a bower of white
and green carried out in long leaf
pine and white roses and the remainder
of the house was in yellow and
green effected with goldenrod ar.d
pine boughs. Punch was served in
the rear hall, and a buffet luncheon
[was served on the lawn.
