for every life is lived in 1he sight of
the Lord, and it is either good or eil
in His sight. The all important ques
tion is. "What is my life in the sight of
the Lord-:" His word to Abraham is a
good word for each of us, "Walk be
fore 'Me and be thou perfect or sincere"
(Geni. xvii. 1. margin'. One of the
Lord's tirst words to Israel as a nation
was, *Tlion shalt have no other gods
before Me" (Fx. xx. 3). They were to
be unlike all other people in this mat
ter of their worship of the one only
living and1( true God.

to the ways of other nations was a di

God. yet this they constantly did from
the days of Solomon onivard, with the

last word in the Old Testament as we
have it. "a curse." was the mleanIs of
leading another Jew to i'ead the sequel
to such a book and to find in it Him
who has redeemed us from the curse of
