The editor is- about "all in" and Mr. Cromer is down with mumps. .Mrs. J. B. Harvin who has been critically ill in the Sumter hospital is improving. * - The friends of Mrs. R. D. Clark will be glad to know that she is re covering from her recent illness. Miss Mattie Appelt is visiting the home.of her brother, Mr. J. M. Appelt in Winston-Salem, ' Mr. Edward E. Orvin and family of Georgetown spent last week at the home of Mr. J. 11. Orvin. Mrs. Van Meter of Columbia is'in Manning visiting her daughter, Mrs. .Jos. S. Dickson.
