It is the mission of the Red Cross Society to relieve the suifering
to care for the sick and succor the helpless.
Now that we are at war, the needs of the society are stupendous
Millions of dollars are required to carry on its noble worL President Wilson has issued
an appeal for funds.
We, of Nashville are asked to raise $150,00 between now and
next Monday night.
Let us prove ourselves the patriots we claim to be by each of us
giving the greatest amount we can afford, whether it be $1, $5, $10, $100, $1,000 or $10,000.
Let us do it quickly. The eyes of the country are upon us
We should not only contribute ourselves but also persuade everv
friend and every relative to do likewise.
