to the Republican National Conven
tion has been delivered by a judicial
decision in Philadelphia.
In a decision involving injunction
proceedings, Judge Sulzberger, of the i
Court of Common Pleas, holds, in
effect, that those persons, who voted
the Keystone ticket at the last gen
eral election in Pennsylvania are not
eligible to -participate in the forth
coming Republican primaries at
which delegates to the national con
vention will be chosen.
The Keystone party is an inde
pendent political body local to Penn
sylvania, and .was formed largely for
the purpose of fighting the regular
Republicans of insurgent tendencies.
Barry Was Nominated
In the Gubernatorial election if
1010 the party nominated former
State Treasure aBrry, a Democrat,
or Governor, and, while he polled a
iaige number of Democratic votes,
the bulk of his support eame fr.iai
dissatisfied Republicans. 'On the
state ticket the party polled 38 per
cent of the total vote, as against -i2
per cent polled by the Republicans
Now, the Republican Keystones
ilcsire to participate in the Republi
can primaries, but the Cobras dicis-
iou is that onlv those who voted hie
Republican ticket in the last elec
tion are entitled to vote as Republi
cans in the primaries.
