The city conncil met in called ses
sion Wednesday night for unfinished
businessSettlement
Settlement was made with Henry
T Hurt tax collector for the years
1908 and 1809 The books as audited
by the committee showed a balance
due the city of about 370 Mr
Hurts report showed 33191 and he
tendered his check in settlement
On motion the council accepted his
check with the understanding that
the books would be checked over and
the slight difference located and any
terror if found to becorrected
Seven more liquor licenses were
granted making 20 in all Charlie
ef
Morris did not ask for a renewal of
his license
Pool room licenses were granted
to Hugh Phelps W J Glover and
Peter Postell
Considerable time WES spent in
going over the license schedule
which was agreed upon to be report
ed at an adjourned session at2 pm
