At a rough guess, ten million mo?
quitoes got out into the open yes-
terday morning when an unused fire
cistern near the center of Main
street was opened by the men mak
ing the new streets. The cistern is
about opposite the Forbes Mf. Co.
block and was partly filled with wa
ter. When the top was taken off
the pests poured out in clouds. The
place of ingress and egress was not
found.
The .cistern was filled with stone
and clay and the peats will have to
find winter quarters elsewhere.
